Neinor Homes takes its commitment to innovation and customer service to a whole new level with the launch of 'Neinor Homes Mobility Pack', an initiative to offer the company's customers the possibility of adapting their home in order to facilitate accessibility, habitability and a better quality of life.

The developer is well aware that, at present, 39% of the Spanish population will face – at some point in their life – circumstances that will hinder and reduce their mobility as a result of health problems, old age, pregnancy, baby carriages, walkers, canes, crutches, etc. For this reason, the company has worked on developing a pack specifically aimed at this population group.

This home personalisation plan, which has the support of ILUNION Tecnología y Accesibilidad – a company specialised in universal accessibility and design for all – focuses on three core aspects: design (applicable based on the feasibility of the specific design of the home and building progress), equipment and technology, and home automation.

Its objective is to improve certain aspects of habitability, accessibility and comfort, although it is important to bear in mind that it does not make the home self-accessible, according to the criteria set out in the Spanish Technical Building Code (CTE) and applicable accessibility regulations.

A Neinor Lab initiative – Neinor Homes' innovation platform

The idea of the pack has been developed by Neinor Lab, the company's platform for innovation, where several teams of employees work on the creation of new ideas and services that promote sector transformation.

For its part, ILUNION Tecnología y Accesibilidad has taken into account the DALCO requirements (Ability to walk, Awareness, Location and Communication) and the architectural design parameters to ensure the living space is an accessible environment.

These requirements cover all areas and spaces in the home – from access (door and hallway features) to the design of corridors, kitchens, toilets, bathrooms, bedrooms and rooms, living rooms, and terraces.

In addition, solutions have been studied for furniture, support products and other technological systems that can be included in the homes to improve personal autonomy and security.
